Impression about Pacific Tree International Language Academy Course and Teachers

Pacific Tree International Language Academy is a very new school. I thought the school teachers and stuffs are very energetic and kind to the students. I had 4 general English classes, 2 TKT module classes, and 1 extra class. I had studied 10 hours a day there! The general and extra classes were Private Classes. I thought it was very important to understand what the teachers said in the all classes. Amell, my general class teacher taught me English pronunciation. He was the first teacher who taught me about it. He tried improve my English pronunciations. I still thank him. I came back Japan and teach English to the students now. When I teach English to the students, I always remember what he taught me. I noticed that I forgot some English words and phrases. Rommel, my extra class teacher made the worksheet for me, and taught the importance points of English pronunciation. He also analyzed the causes of my listening mistakes. His classes were very easy to understand and meaningful.
Two teachers taught us TKT module. There were many words I couldn’t understand in the classes. I looked up the words in a dictionary after school, but I couldn’t find the meaning because they were particular words. The teachers thought we knew basic knowledge about TKT and we came to the school to study more particular. I thought TKT module was very important for us after studying it. When we teach English to the students, the skills help us to teach.
This was the first visit to the Philippines. All the things that I saw and heard were very moving and surprising. I have four things that I was surprised there!
The first is that there were some guards in the entrance of the shopping malls! They check the customer’s bag. There were some guards in the building of Pacific Tree, too! It is quite different from Japan. The second is that there were many children. I could see many children everywhere. The third is that there was a big gap between the rich and poor. I saw some beggars in front of the church, SM store, Heritage of the Cebu Monuments, and on the streets. They didn’t have enough house, food, and clothes. I saw some bare babies on the street! On the other hand, a lot of people bought what they wanted in the shopping malls. The manager of Pacific Tree told us that it has continued since some hundreds years ago. The fourth is that there are some big shopping malls. They are bigger than Japanese ones and they are very beautiful! Most of them were built recently, and some shopping malls are being built.
Thank you for teaching and taking care of us for two weeks!
